An energetic and graceful dancer, Anika delights audiences with her joyful and passionate interpretation of the music. Dancing from a young age, she developed her devotion to belly dance after falling in love with the music. 

Enjoying the classics, modern music and folk music, Anika’s had the privilege of being a part of multiple troupes with repertoires including Turkish and Greek styles, Egyptian and Lebanese styles as well as folk dances and dabke. 

Anika’s experience ranges from private events to restaurant performance and dancing with bands both Arabic and Greek. She was featured on the album cover of the Fred Elias Ensemble’s Elegant Music for Belly Dance vol. 2 in 2010.

Studying primarily with acclaimed Boston-area teacher Phaedra, Anika has also had the pleasure of studying with Shadia Tohme of Boston and Michelle Charles of Rochester. She has attended intensive workshops with Ahmed Hussein and Randa Kamel as well as attended workshops with Raqia Hassan, Nourhan Sharif, Osama Emam and others.

Anika currently resides with her husband and daughter in Rochester, NY, and continues her studies locally and nationally.
